I’m Gal Bar Dea - a builder of banks, platforms, and ideas. My work lives where technology meets people, and lately I’m obsessed with how quantum computing will redefine what’s possible in finance, science, and beyond.

For most of my career, I’ve built things that didn’t exist before: digital banks, financial platforms, and products people use to navigate their money and their lives. I’ve always believed that the best technology doesn’t overwhelm - it empowers. It turns the complex into the intuitive. It makes people feel capable, not confused.

Quantum computing is the first technology in years that made me feel confused.
It broke my mental models. It sounded magical, abstract, almost deliberately complicated. And every time I asked a straightforward question, I got a PhD-level answer.

So I started a personal quest: to understand quantum computing well enough to explain it clearly, simply, and usefully - not to physicists, but to builders, leaders, investors, operators, and curious people like me.

This blog is the result.

I write about the questions I had - and that many others quietly have too:
Why does quantum matter? What can it actually do? What’s hype and what’s real?
Why doesn’t quantum work like AI? What are logical qubits, error correction, decoherence, or quantum advantage - in practical terms?
How will quantum change finance, logistics, medicine, chemistry, defense, and the economy?
And most importantly: when?

I don’t pretend to have all the answers. But I do believe that quantum computing is moving faster than most people realize, and that understanding it shouldn’t require a physics degree.

My goal is to make the quantum world accessible, engaging, and exciting - to translate a once-esoteric field into something anyone can think about, question, and build with.
